Curriculum

To achieve the vision and mission, the curriculum of the study program is designed with a composition of 54% practical courses and 46% theoretical courses. The courses offered include the four English language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), grammar, vocabulary, as well as knowledge and skills applicable to industry and business. In alignment with the objectives of the D-3 English Program, graduates are expected not only to be proficient in English but also to possess skills that support the operation of industries and businesses.

The Co-Curricular Activities

To complement the curricular activities and deepen students’ understanding of the curriculum, various co-curricular activities are organized, including Industrial Visits, Guest Lectures, Table Manner Courses, and Personal Grooming Training. Students also have access to English language proficiency assessments through the English Proficiency Test (EPT) and TOEIC. Additionally, competency certifications relevant to their future fields of work are provided.

Industrial Visits are designed to familiarize students with the working environment of industries or companies. This program is aimed at second-semester students, providing them with an overview of the professional world they will enter. Students are responsible for identifying and selecting the companies they wish to visit.

Guest Lecturers are organized to broaden students’ knowledge through insights from industry practitioners, professionals, or alumni who share their real-world experiences. This program is conducted for each cohort of students.

Table Manner Course provides training on the etiquette of formal dining in an international setting. This program is offered to fourth-semester students preparing for their internship (Praktik Kerja Lapangan or PKL) and is conducted in collaboration with hotels in Bandung.

Personal Grooming Training focuses on teaching students how to present themselves professionally. The course covers personal care and grooming to help students appear confident and professional. This program is also offered to fourth-semester students preparing for their internships and is conducted in collaboration with prominent cosmetic companies.

English Proficiency Test (EPT) is a program to measure and to identify the development of the students’ English skills. The UPT-Bahasa holds this program annually to every generation. By taking this test, the students can know their English skills competence.

Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) is a certification program that is given to the last semester students to complete their Surat Keterangan Pendamping Ijazah (SKPI). The students who pass the test will receive a certificate which is internationally recognized. The certificate is expected to officially recognize their competence and help them to get a job.
